Donald Trump became the first former U.S. president to be convicted on criminal charges after a New York jury found him guilty Thursday on 34 counts of falsifying business records.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, is set to be sentenced on July 11, four days before the Republican National Convention.

The PBS NewsHour's Deema Zein spoke with correspondent William Brangham about what's next for Trump and the 2024 race.
