After Mullin was sworn in by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump punted on questions regarding an emerging DHS funding deal.

The president said "they're working on all of that," when asked whether he would back a deal that would separate out funding for immigration enforcement operations from the rest of DHS.
Senators are drafting language on a potential agreement that would include funding for DHS agencies, such as the Transportation Security Administration, but not enforcement and removal operations at ICE.

"That's a detail that they'll explain later," Trump said.
Earlier, the White House said the discussions were ongoing but that the rough contours of the deal "seems to be acceptable."
The potential breakthrough in the monthlong standoff comes as airports experience long wait times.
Democrats have refused to fund Homeland Security unless it made changes to its immigration and deportation operations.
But unpaid TSA workers are failing to show up for shifts — some 11 % failed to show Monday — and at least 458 have quit altogether.
The deal would impose some of the restraints Democrats have demanded on immigration operations. Senators are discussing next steps and hoping for a quick end to the standoff.
