White House press secretary Jen Psaki says President Joe Biden spoke with New York City Mayor Eric Adams about the deadly Bronx apartment fire that killed 17 people, including children.

She said Biden offered his "heartfelt condolences," and also federal assistance from the White House if needed.
Psaki also commented on the ongoing security talks between the U.S. and Russia this week aimed at defusing tensions over Ukraine.
