Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse gathered on Capitol Hill Wednesday to call for the release of all files related to the government's investigation into the convicted child sex offender, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump said Wednesday at the White House that the Epstein case is a "Democrat hoax that never ends." While Trump has not specified when his friendship with Epstein ended, he said earlier this summer that Epstein was "taking" workers from his Mar-a-Lago spa.
The survivors criticized the president's comments that the case was a "hoax" and appealed to him to meet and describe the pain they had endured.

"Mr. President, Donald J. Trump, I am a registered Republican – not that that matters, because this is not political. However, I cordially invite you to the Capitol to meet me in person so you can understand this is not a hoax," survivor Haley Robson said. "We are real human beings. This is real trauma."
