In a 9-minute speech to the British parliament, UK Prime Minister David Cameron sought to calm jitters over Thursday's vote to exit the European Union, known as "Brexit."

"It is going to be difficult" he said of Britain's departure from the EU. But initially, there will be no major changes in how Brits can travel and how goods are moved. "We have today one of the strongest major advanced economies in the world," he said. "We are well-placed to face the challenges ahead."

Cameron acknowledged that even though he didn't agree with the vote to leave, "the decision must be accepted and the process of implementing the decision must now begin."
