U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson spoke during an unannounced trip to Afghanistan Monday.
The Associated Press reports that Tillerson visited Bagram Air Base for talks with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and senior officials about the Trump administration's recently-announced South Asia policy and strategy, and to reiterate the United States' commitment to peace and stability in the region.
