Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he and President Donald Trump agree on how to secure the release of Israeli hostages and end Hamas' rule in Gaza.

"Trump wants a deal, but not at any price," Netanyahu told reporters Wednesday. "I want a deal, but not at any price. Israel has security requirements and other requirements and we are working together to try to achieve it."

Netanyahu was meeting with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., and Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. and other senators at the U.S. Capitol.

Netanyahu met with Trump at the White House and House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., in the Capitol on Tuesday.
