President Donald Trump suggested on Wednesday he might be willing to accept a smaller scale deal with Tehran that would simply open the Strait of Hormuz but potentially not address larger goals.

Trump was asked about Iran before boarding Air Force One to fly to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut to deliver a commencement address. He said of such a deal, "The strait would have to open immediately."
But, he added, "I'm in no hurry."
He shrugged off suggestions that GOP performances in November's midterm elections could increase the political pressure to make a deal, but also said: "We could do it another way."
