Jed Horne was city editor of The Times-Picayune when Katrina struck and helped lead his team to two Pulitzers for coverage of the disaster. Horne’s "Breach of Faith," was declared “the best of the Katrina books” on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” He is now the editor of The Lens, a nonprofit, nonpartisan public-interest newsroom in New Orleans.
Ten years later, New Orleans provides revealing lessons on the role business and economics did and — and didn’t — play in the city’s now notably vigorous recovery.
