Jonathan Weinstein is a clinical psychologist with the Veterans Administration. Weinstein serves as the suicide prevention coordinator at the VA Hudson Valley in New York and is an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at New York Medical College. Prior to serving in suicide prevention, he served as the PTSD/substance-use disorders coordinator at the James J. Peters VA in the Bronx, New York. Before his work at the VA, Weinstein served in a variety of mental health and education roles in New York, Maryland, and Mississippi. He co-wrote EMPOWER Your Students: Tools to Inspire a Meaningful School Experience (Solution Tree Press 2017) with his wife Lauren Porosoff.
