Sen. Kamala Harris is a first-term senator from California, a former state attorney general and district attorney of San Francisco.
Harris currently sits on several Senate committees, including the Judiciary Committee, which next week will begin hearings on the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Vice President Mike Pence is a former congressman and governor of Indiana.
Pence has been a loyal second-in-command to President Donald Trump, and is chair of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.
