About Clifford

Designed for children ages 3-7, this animated series is based on the books of the same name. Clifford the Big Red Dog uses storytelling to present universal social and emotional messages to young children. These fun-filled episodes follow Clifford and his new pals (both canine and human) as they play, discover and interact with each other and the inhabitants of Birdwell Island, learning that good friends are what life is all about.

The stories are fun and kid-relatable — they feature experiences that all kids encounter: being a good friend, helping others and going on adventures! More importantly, though, they learn that the world is out there to be discovered with gusto.

Each episode features two 11-minute stories with a curriculum centered on two main concepts that go hand-in-hand (or hand-in-paw):

  • Imaginative Play: illustrating how imagination and pretend play can lead to discovery, understanding and innovation.
  • Literacy: Emphasizing how reading and storytelling are valuable tools to spark imagination and open doors to new ideas, solutions and adventures.
