FRONTLINE Presents

AMERICAN VOICES: A NATION IN TURMOIL

A Post-Election Virtual Conversation

Tuesday, November 24th at 12:00pm EST / 11:00am CST

FRONTLINE presents a new post-election special, American Voices: A Nation in Turmoil, on the lives, fears and hopes of Americans across the country as they lived through a chaotic year, from COVID-19’s arrival, to George Floyd’s killing and subsequent protests, to a polarizing presidential election and aftermath.

Join FRONTLINE for an intimate conversation with the film’s director, Mike Shum, producer Dr. Blair Woodbury and FRONTLINE reporter Marcia Robiou on where the country has been this past year — and where it’s headed. The program will feature clips from American Voices: A Nation in Turmoil, which draws on footage from a team of local cinematographers working throughout the United States, as they captured a historically tumultuous year, as seen through the eyes of everyday Americans, including a mom active in anti-lockdown protests in Utah, a construction company owner in Virginia, a doctor in Texas and a COVID-19 survivor in Illinois, among others.

FEATURED SPEAKERS:

  • Mike Shum, FRONTLINE Film Director
  • Dr. Blair Woodbury, ER Medical Specialist
  • Marcia Robiou, FRONTLINE Reporter
  • Moderated by Lauren Ezell, FRONTLINE Senior Editor
