FRONTLINE’s New Website: A Destination for Streaming Documentaries, and More

By

Raney Aronson-Rath

October 9, 2025

Last week, I shared details about FRONTLINE’s 44th season, which will offer an incredible slate of in-depth domestic and international programming about the most pressing issues facing our world.

Today, I’m so pleased to share news about another big project FRONTLINE has been working on for more than two years: our reimagined website. The new site offers the most comprehensive archive of FRONTLINE documentaries and journalism available anywhere and is built to deliver the best streaming experience for our audience.

So much has changed in the 10 years since FRONTLINE’s last major website redesign. According to Pew Research, more than 83% of U.S. adults now use streaming services to watch news and entertainment. Even with more to watch than ever before, we believe FRONTLINE’s journalism stands apart — and our new website is thoughtfully designed to showcase that.

We hope that in a sea of options, FRONTLINE will be a home for trustworthy and engaging storytelling that’s free and accessible to all Americans.

Our new website is a destination for an optimized documentary streaming experience — presenting curated watch suggestions and a browsable collection where you can explore some of our most acclaimed storytelling. With more than 300 FRONTLINE documentaries available to stream, the site now allows you to find films organized by topic, region and more.

Beyond that, our new website will spotlight the breadth of our acclaimed journalism in more accessible ways. Audiences can explore storytelling in several mediums — from articles to visual and interactive storytelling; from in-depth interview collections and podcasts to reporting from our Local Journalism Initiative partners.

The product of thoughtful user testing, design and development, our redesigned website was an enormous team undertaking. Our new website came to life thanks to FRONTLINE’s brilliant digital team, led by our digital editor Priyanka Boghani, lead digital and interactive designer Dan Nolan, senior developer Anthony DeLorenzo; GBH’s Product and Technology teams who collaborated on design, development and deployment; PBS, who provided coordination and direction and CPB, whose funding allowed this project to be possible.

We’re proud to share this new website with you and we hope you find it brings you closer to both the storytelling you care about and that which you’ve yet to explore. Thank you for being here and for your support.

Independent. Unflinching. Supported by you.

We’re committed to the truth — and to you, our viewers. If our journalism has moved you, informed you, or changed the way you see the world, consider making a donation to sustain our work.
