Could NY Tech Addicts Learn Something from S. Korea?

Social media fatigue is setting in among New York’s digerati, who are complaining of burnout, alienation, “tech overload,” and “slow death from e-mail,” according to today’s New York Times.
We prescribe sufferers take a look at this chapter from our 2010 film Digital Nation, which looks at South Korea — one of the first countries to treat internet addiction as a psychiatric disorder. The Korean government has opened free, two-week-long “Internet rescue camps” throughout the country, and starting in the second grade, children are required to take “netiquette” classes to learn how to use computers responsibly.
Maybe some New Yorkers should get on a plane for Southeast Asia?
