Stephen Grey is a London-based writer and reporter covering security issues. His first report for FRONTLINE investigated the CIA’s secret rendition program. Since 2007, Grey has reported on the war in Afghanistan, particularly in Helmand and Kandahar provinces. His book Into the Viper’s Nest, an account of the battle for Musa Qala, was
published in 2009. Most recently, he has been reporting for FRONTLINE from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Shoaib Sharifi is an award-winning journalist with extensive experience reporting in Afghanistan. Sharifi has served as editor of The Kabul Times, bureau chief of the U.N. news agency in Afghanistan and as a freelance producer/director for BBC World News.
