Janice Hui

Former Managing Director

As Managing Director, Janice Hui oversees all operational aspects of FRONTLINE, including fundraising, finance, contracts, scheduling, and human resources. She works closely with the Executive Producer to devise and execute fundraising strategies and new initiatives that sustain FRONTLINE as a leading transmedia news organization.

Before joining FRONTLINE, Hui was the managing director of the Investigative Reporting Program, a professional newsroom and teaching institute at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, which has collaborated with FRONTLINE on numerous films, including American Insurrection, Trafficked in America, and Rape on the Night Shift.

Prior to the IRP, Hui was a senior producer at CBS Interactive and worked as a producer at the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco bureaus of CNN for nearly a decade. She began her career as a reporter/producer at Associated Press Radio. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
