Jim Gilmore
Jim Gilmore is a longtime producer/reporter who has worked with FRONTLINE for more than three decades, and for the past twenty years with the Kirk Documentary Group. He’s worked on over 50 programs for FRONTLINE, including nine that received Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, two George Polk Awards and two duPont Awards.
His documentary film career started with the BBC, in their New York City office, where he worked for four years back in the late 1980s. Over the years, he has also produced, reported and written for the Discovery Channel and The History Channel.
For FRONTLINE, his work has focused on national security, political and economic issues. Some recent programs Gilmore has been a reporter/producer on include: America’s Great Divide: From Obama to Trump, Supreme Revenge, The Mueller Investigation, Zero Tolerance, Trump’s Showdown, Trump’s Takeover, the four hour Divided States of America, Putin’s Revenge, League of Denial: the NFL’s Concussion Crisis, Money, Power and Wall Street, United States of Secrets, which won the Best Documentary Emmy award for 2015, Gunned Down: the Power of the NRA, The Torture Question, Losing Iraq, The Anthrax Files, The Dark Side, Inside the Meltdown, The Man Who Knew and four of FRONTLINE’s popular election-year biography programs, The Choice 2000, 2008, 2012, and 2016.
Gilmore gradated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the film program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
