
Tow Journalism Fellow, FRONTLINE/Newmark Journalism School Fellowship
Leo Miranda is a data journalist and fact-checker committed to public service journalism. He began his career at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where he specialized in data journalism and local accountability reporting — a focus he has carried into every newsroom he’s worked in.
He has reported on housing for Next City, including coverage of how Minneapolis’ housing authority used modular construction to build affordable homes. His accountability work also includes a collaborative investigation into the condition of New York City’s bridge infrastructure, published by The CITY and recognized by student journalism awards.
