(next)[BURN] At different altitudes you find different wind currents and sometimes they'll take you where you want to go. NOVA: So what do these instrument panels tell you? [BURN] JACK: It tells us how fast we are climbing or descending, that's up or down. JOE: Rate of climb or descent. JACK: Yeah, and this is your altimeter to tell you how high we are. Temperature here on the pyrometer will tell us how hot we're getting in the top of the balloon. [BURN] JOE: Up in the top of the balloon.
