Author and journalist Robin Wright, who has been covering Iran since her first trip in 1973, has launched a new blog, in part to address the current crisis in Iran.

Wright has been a frequent visitor to Iran since that first trip, interviewing the past four Iranian presidents along the way, for various publications including The Washington Post, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, Foreign Affairs and others. She is the author of four books on or including Iran: "Dream and Shadows: The Future of the Middle East," "The Last Great Revolution: Turmoil and Transformation in Iran," "In the Name of God: The Khomeini Decade" and "Sacred Rage: The Wrath of Militant Islam." She was in Iran when the presidential race began in March.

Her latest article is about the next phase of the opposition's struggle against the status quo in Iran -- a "feistier, more imaginative and potentially enduring campaign," she writes in TIME Magazine.
