Following are ANTIQUES ROADSHOW's rules and guidelines regarding antique firearms and antique fire "extinguishers" at ROADSHOW production events.

FAQs about Antique Firearms & Glass Fire Extinguishers
Can I bring an antique firearm for appraisal at ANTIQUES ROADSHOW?
Yes, although ANTIQUES ROADSHOW will only appraise firearms that are both antique and unloaded.
Please Note:
- Even if a firearm is deemed to be antique under federal law (such as a firearm manufactured prior to 1898 and for which ammunition is no longer available or manufactured), it remains subject to the laws of the local jurisdiction.
- Possession and transport of firearms are subject to federal, state, and local laws.
- It is your responsibility to know, understand, and comply with all such laws and ordinances.
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW reserves the right to admit or deny any firearm and its owner, at our discretion, in consultation with local law enforcement personnel and venue management.
- All firearms must be checked by security personnel before entering the event.
- Please leave all ammunition at home, as we do not appraise ammunition of any kind, and you will not be allowed to bring it into the event.
- Use of trigger locks is required on all firearms, where possible, and we reserve the right to attach one to your firearm while it is at the appraisal event.
- Everyone entering the event is subject to search, for any reason.

Antique Glass Fire Extinguishers
Can I bring my antique glass fire extinguisher to ROADSHOW for appraisal?
No. Please do not bring these to any ANTIQUES ROADSHOW event. We will not appraise glass fire extinguishers at ANTIQUES ROADSHOW under any circumstances, and you will not be permitted to bring one onto the premises.
In the following one-minute video appraiser Stuart Whitehurst explains the history of these colorful — and dangerous — old fire extinguishers, and why you should never bring one to ANTIQUES ROADSHOW.
