Biography
Brigid Jones has been surrounded by antiques her entire life. Her first auction was at just two weeks old, nestled in a basket beside her parents, both antique dealers.
Her fascination with dolls took root early on, when her mother purchased several dolls for resale from the late Richard Wright, a legendary Antiques Roadshow appraiser. Brigid spent countless hours in Wright's well-loved doll shop, absorbing his knowledge and developing an eye for beauty and craftsmanship.
Childhood favorites like Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake, and her treasured "Baby Brigid" doll fueled a lifelong passion.
For more than three decades, Brigid has worked in the antiques world as a porcelain restoration artist, estate sale specialist, and licensed auctioneer. From her auction gallery in Waverly, Virginia, she handles all kinds of antiques and collectibles, but dolls remain her first love. She travels nationwide to share her expertise with collectors and still finds time to create new treasures through her watercolor paintings.
