Biography

Longtime Decorative Arts, Glass, Pottery & Porcelain and Silver expert David McCarron died on January 27, 2021. David had been a respected member of ANTIQUES ROADSHOW's appraisal team between the show's start in 1977 and 2019. He will be missed by his colleagues and fans.

David McCarron was senior review appraiser at Enservio Select, and had 30 years of experience as an appraiser and auctioneer for regional and international auction houses, including senior positions at Eldred's, Sotheby's, Boos Gallery and Freeman's. His broad knowledge across many disciplines was recognized and respected throughout the appraisal and auction world and made Mr. McCarron a popular television figure, including appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and CNN.
