Biography
Howard Nowes is a world-renowned gallery director, lecturer, appraiser, and consultant on ancient and ethnographic arts. For 35 years Howie has been the owner and director of Art for Eternity, a gallery and appraisal services firm located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side museum-mile. Art for Eternity offers appraisal and curatorial services, and are experts in restoration, conservation, and custom mounting.
Howie has worked as a consultant and appraiser with curators at the world's leading arts institutions, including the Met, Princeton, Harvard, Yale, and others. Howie is also an auctioneer, and has sold thousands of museum-level collectibles to collectors and institutions all over the world.
