Biography
Samantha Robinson is a Chicago-based specialist of design with nearly two decades of experience. She serves as Heritage Auction’s vice president of design, leading the department and overseeing its biannual Early 20th Century Design and Modern Design auction series. Samantha specializes in collectible 20th & 21st century Design, in particular Tiffany Studios, art and studio pottery, and contemporary glass.
Samantha has overseen the successful sale of several important museum and private collections, including Non-Accessioned Property from the Dallas Museum of Art, the Collection of Frederick H. Schrader, and the Collection of Jeep & Carla Harned. Samantha is also a licensed auctioneer in Texas and presides over auctions across all of Heritage’s 50+ categories.
Prior to joining Heritage in 2018, Samantha earned a bachelor of arts in international studies from Macalester College in 2010 and a master of arts in art history from Southern Methodist University in 2014. She began her career at the Dallas Museum of Art, holding several roles within the Decorative Arts & Design department. In addition to managing research and display of the permanent collection, she curated the exhibitions The Wittgenstein Vitrine: Modern Opulence, Shaken, Stirred, Styled: The Art of the Cocktail, and Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion.
