Geoffrey Kabaservice is the author of several books including "The Guardians: Kingman Brewster, His Circle, and the Rise of the Liberal Establishment" (Henry Holt, 2004) and "Rule and Ruin: The Downfall of Moderation and the Destruction of the Republican Party, from Eisenhower to the Tea Party" (Oxford 2012); the latter was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. He has written for numerous national publications including the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Politico and The Guardian.
