Renegades   VOTE HERE

This documentary series showcases the lives and cultural contributions of little-known historical figures with disabilities. Hosted by award-winning musician and disability rights advocate Lachi. Each episode is available with audio description, on-screen ASL interpretation and open captions, extended audio description and large open captions, and descriptive transcripts.

Celestine Tate Harrington: Building a Legacy   VOTE HERE

The story of a street musician, born with a condition that left her limbs unusable. In 1975, Tate Harrington won a custody battle against the Philadelphia Department of Child Welfare, which sought to take away her infant daughter, claiming that she could not provide adequate care. See how Tate Harrington’s fight to be a mother and earn an independent living was a revolutionary act.

Voting in the Webby People’s Voice Awards is now open through Thursday, April 17th at 11:59pm PDT. The 29th Annual Webby Winners will be revealed on Monday, May 12th, during a ceremony hosted by actor and comedian Ilana Glazer.

Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS)—a 3000+ member judging body. The Academy is comprised of Executive Members—leading Internet experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities—and Associate Members who are former Webby Winners, Nominees and other Internet professionals.
