TRANSCRIPT

(birds singing) - Sydney, you made it.

She made it.

(birds singing) Come on in.

Come on in, Sydney.

Bring your treasure.

- I was start trying, thinking of what to name them when I... - (laughing) That's... - When I was coming up here.

- Well, that's up to you.

We can call them "The Sydney Twins".

(birds singing in distance) Cute things, too.

- I know.

They're so adorable.

- Come on, baby, open.

- [Sydney] How old do you think they are?

'cause I know they've been in my... - [Terry] They're about two-and-a-half weeks.

- [Sydney] Oh really?

- [Terry] Yeah, and their mother obviously has not been there all day today.

- Yeah.

- So she probably got killed last night.

(birds singing in distance) This is the peak season.

April through July.

So it just starts coming rapid-fire.

(birds singing in distance) - So how long have you been doing this for?

- (sighs) Oh, don't ask.

- Oh, okay.

(giggles) - No, 15 years.

18 years actually.

- Oh my God!

- 18 years.

(Sydney cooing) - See?

Now look at- This is fascinating.

Look at this.

There are human hairs in this nest.

- [Sydney] Really?

- And it's a blonde.

- [Sydney] It must be me.

(chuckles) - This was in your yard?

- Yeah, so I- - Then this is your hair, - (giggles) I don't know - how they got my, - It is.

It's long, blonde hair.

That's what- - Yeah, there's no one else - No, they would get it - blonde, so that's mine.

- [Terry] out of, that's your hair.

- Wow.

- They would get it off of the dryer vent.

- Oh really?

Oh.

- Mm-hmm.

You saved them, yeah.

(camera clicking) - Aww, good babies.

- Oh, I'm so happy that they're both gonna be okay.

- [Terry] They will.

(birds singing in distance) (gentle music) - Yay.

- There's no doubt in my mind that they'll make it.

- [Sydney] Oh, awesome.

- Thanks to you.

- (giggles) Aww.

- Without you, no.

- [Sydney] Without you!

(giggles) - Without us.

- Yeah.

(giggling) (birds singing in distance) It's so tiny, you think, "Wow!

That nest will never accommodate grown birds."

But that nest expands with the growing birds.

It's pretty amazing.

And then, of course, they decorate the outside with paint chips so I always know what color people's houses are.
