Liberty Street Wall Hanging in Space

GEORGE TAMARO: Within a matter of days, we became aware that the Liberty Street slurry wall was totally unsupported laterally because the façade of the South Tower had ripped through the floor system that had supported it. A stretch of wall was just hanging in space, propped up at some locations by pieces of the South Tower's façade and slivers of slab. It was just happenstance that it had not collapsed.
