The Music

Iola Brubeck, who has been married to Dave since 1942, has mostly kept herself out of the public eye. While Dave was on the road with the Dave Brubeck Quartet, she was at home raising their six children. But Iola's contribution to Dave's life and his art have been immeasurable. Throughout the years, she has been Dave's principle critic, collaborator and lyricist. |
