OS X to Split into Two Lines

Status: [CLOSED] comments (2) | confidence poll
Along the same lines look for OS X to bifurcate clearly into two lines -- Mac OS X and plain OS X (for devices like the iPhone) with Apple licensing (non-Mac) OS X to a few companies, including Sony.

Apple is the king of "Don't Make Me Think" and "Steve Jobs already made the choice for you." Two versions of the OS will be an opportunity for confusion. There will only be one version. There might be pieces you enable or don't enable, but there can only be one.

It seems you are right! At WWDC there were two banners about OSX iPhone and MacOSX. Definitely put a "Right On!" on this prediction. Bye
