Jennifer's Family
Canine Assistants is a genuine family affair. Jennifer's parents, Harry and Margaret Arnold, helped establish the program. Today, Jennifer acts as Executive Director, her brother, Gary Arnold, as CFO, and her husband, Kent Bruner, as Staff Veterinarian.
Gary Arnold ensures that 95% of every dollar donated goes toward program expenses. Gary's son, Dudley, leads the Nursery and Happy Team Programs, and Gary's other son, Crawford, has created new fundraising programs for Canine Assistants.
Kent Bruner cares for 150 dogs and runs the breeding program. He also manages the aftercare of dogs placed nationwide, providing them with food and medical care if their recipients cannot afford it.
Chase Bruner, Jennifer and Kent's 7-year-old, was "raised among dogs" and helps his mother teach children how to work with their dogs. Chase, Jennifer, and Kent share three dogs.
Jennifer's sisters Kathy Daniel and Lisa Aldridge actively support Canine Assistants, and Lisa's three children volunteer with the organization. All family members treasure the dogs in their lives.
