Aiden's Story

Six-year old Aiden lives in Denver, Colorado with his mom, Laura, and three-year old sister, Abby. Aiden has cerebral palsy, and currently spends most of his time in a wheelchair.

Optimistic and full of life, Aiden came into the program wanting a "big dog." He had high hopes for his first match, a beauty named Nala. But after a few months, Aiden and Nala still weren't bonded (Nala preferred adults).  So Aiden received a new canine assistant, a lovely young golden retriever named Ember. Their bond did not last.  But never one to be discouraged, Aiden is certain he'll find his perfectly matched assistance dog in the future, when he is a bit older.

Nala has been successfully matched with another person.
