Once the bodies were exhumed, they were placed in body bags and taken about an hour’s drive from Srebrenica to a bombed-out sewing factory, which the forensic scientists had turned into a makeshift morgue. The place bustled with activity. In a room that had once served as the factory’s cafeteria, workers would open each body bag and sweep a fluoroscope slowly over a body.
