Lyumila Duyanova, Waitress

"Life in Ukraine is getting worse. I don't know if it is good or bad. Food is more expensive, gas is more expensive and our taxes are increasing.

"In the cities it is OK, but in the small towns and provinces it is more difficult.

"I was with everyone else on the Maiden [Independence Square] for the Orange Revolution, but we should have expected the resignation of the government. They promised a lot but haven't done anything. We stood there on the square for Yushchenko, not Tymoshenko. I voted for Yushchenko all three rounds."

On the Gongadze case: "There's nothing but talking, with everyone blaming everyone else. Nothing changes; we can't get him back."
