My dear Sir
Agreably to your request, I have founded Mr Hammond and Mr Ternant upon their intentions of visitg Mount Vernon. The former returned from the eastward a few days ago, and will set out on Wednesday the 19th for Mount Vernon which he expects to reach in four day and an half -
Mr Ternant [inserted: who] is [struck: always company of some disorder

[strike-out] shall not be able to pass any decissin until the later end of this week - but I <?> think he will not go southward
[2] [struck: The affairs of france are progressing from bad to worse but the declaration of the Duke of Brunswick of the 25th of July seems one of his most high handed offence against the
