The companion web site has been produced by the Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy. The site examines the life of George Washington not merely as a matter of history, but as a model of what it means to be an American citizen. It introduces users to Washington's greatness, calls attention to some of his most striking qualities of mind and character, and suggests the significance of this great man for our generation, and for every generation of Americans. The site features a private collection of Washington documents and images provided by the Gilder Lerhman Collection of New York, as well as celebrity readings of Washington speeches, letters, and more.
