I first found out about the attacks when I got out of
English class at about 10:00. My first reaction was that
of shock. Then I realized I needed to get down there
to help in what ways I could.
The days following September 11, all I remember was being down at the Trade
Center and coming home, showering, sleeping, and going back. I really didn't
watch any TV or listen to the radio. I was just working.
When I came home on September 12, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I turned
on the TV, and all I saw was the Trade Center. The media handled getting
the information out to the public, but they didn't stop. Every channel had
a special about the towers. So since I couldn't get away from it, I went
back downtown to help.
