In Afghanistan, one in seven women giving birth will die in the process, one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world. Afghan American filmmaker Sedika Mojadidi follows her father, an OB/GYN, as he struggles to make a difference, first at Kabul's renamed Laura Bush Maternity Ward and then in an isolated provincial hospital, where patients often travel for days to get treatment.
