American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE)
An association of colleges and universities organized for the purpose of improving the preparation of educators.

American Association of School Administrators (AASA)
A professional organization that works on the professional development of school administrators in order to create high quality public education.

American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO
An AFL-CIO union of schoolteachers, non-teaching school employees, college and university professors, government employees, and healthcare workers that addresses a broad range of education and labor-related issues.

American School Counselor Association (ASCA)
A professional organization for school counselors that provides professional development, enhanced school counseling programs, and research on effective school counseling practices.

Education Writers Association (EWA)
A national, professional association for education reporters that seeks to improve the quality of educational reporting to the general public.

National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE)
A national network of African-American educators who aim to raise the academic achievement of African-American students through the development and use of teaching methods that challenge and inspire students.

National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP)
A professional organization that supports elementary and middle-school principals in their commitment to children’s primary education.

National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
A professional association of school psychologists that wants to create an educationally and psychologically healthy environment for all school-age students.

National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP)
A national professional organization that focuses on the professional development of middle-school and high-school principals.

National Rural Education Association (NREA)
A network of rural educators, administrators, and others that support the nation’s rural school districts through advocacy, lobbying, and community involvement.

National School Boards Association (NSBA)
A foundation that encourages and prepares local school board members to become catalysts for educational change and agents for systemic reform in their local public schools.
