Jen is lost in registration hell, hating "the herd"; Jean and Maria are in love -- really in love; Derard wants a football scholarship, but the team just wants to break a wicked losing streak-36 games!; and Kendra isn't what everyone assumes she is. JEAN AND MARIA  He's Latino, she's not. They've been "intimate" for a year, but he's Catholic and wants to stop the sex "until we're married or break up." She's not the least bit happy about the plan.

JEN  All she wants is to get out of L.A. She's found a small college in Vermont she's aiming for -- but is she just dreaming?

DERARD  He's a football star with scholarship hopes who just transferred to Fairfax from South Central L.A. where a football player was killed by gang fighting. But coming to Fairfax may have been the biggest mistake of his life.

KENDRA  Should she go to a college with "excellent handicapped services?" A counselor thinks so, but to Kendra that's nothing but an insult.

IQRA: With Kendra, I can understand how she feels about being categorized and stereotyped. For me, it has been based on how I look. Everybody is beautiful in their own way. If someone doesn't think that, then that's their problem.
