PBS: The Forgotten Americans: Filmmaker's Journal

We have completed the first phase of this project - the pre-production phase.

Dr. Chahin and I have consulted scholars and colonia experts to prepare a final script. We conducted pre-interviews with key individuals, planned principal photography, scouted a variety of locations, and assembled a top-notch production team.

I will never forget what one person told me during the interviews, "It is sad to be born here, live here all your life, die here and not know what it is like to be an American."
