A Word From Jean-Michel Cousteau

Dear Educator,

I am extremely pleased to be working with PBS in the production of our new TV adventure series, Jean-Michel Cousteau: Ocean Adventures. We have explored some amazing ecosystems, documented remarkable animal behavior, and addressed the most important issues affecting the health of our oceans.

My entire career has been dedicated to educating the public about the wonders of the sea and the value of the ocean to humanity and we have worked hard to extend the value of this series beyond the broadcast, creating exciting educational programs for educators of all types. We have captured the excitement of exploration and put our discoveries in a serious educational context. We are fully aware of the national and state curriculum requirements you face and have made sure that our resources will enhance your efforts to meet these demanding curricula mandates.

Please visit my organization, Ocean Futures Society (at oceanfutures.org), for regular updates on our activities and critical ocean issues that affect us and future generations.

I personally applaud your hard work and I look forward to a long collaborative relationship with you.

Sincerely,
Jean-Michel Cousteau
