The PBS debut of LIVE BY REQUEST was a rousing two-hour musical tour through the classic rock catalog of the show's featured performer John Fogerty.

Backed by a stellar band, John rocked the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles in front of a wildly energetic live audience along with viewers from all over the country connecting with the live broadcast by creating the set list live via song requests.

PBS presented LIVE BY REQUEST as a live, national pledge drive event and pledge hosts Bill Young and Laura Savini were on the scene offering both John Fogerty's new album and his new live DVD as pledge premiums.

The show was hosted by Mark Goodman, one of the original MTV VJ's and currently seen and heard on VH1 Classics and Sirius XM Radio. Requests from John's extensive catalog of hits were presented through a wide variety of options including live phone calls, email, Twitter, Facebook and Skype. A highlight of the evening came when music superstar Keith Urban called in live to request his favorite John Fogerty song, "Up Around the Bend."

A live online poll that ran throughout the broadcast asked viewers to vote for their all-time favorite John Fogerty song and named "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" as the winning song. John Fogerty got the chance to make his own personal song request and performed "When Will I Be Loved" from his latest album, The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again and picked fan favorite "Down on the Corner" to close out the night.
