Anne Rosenzweig, chef-owner of Arcadia and consultant to the "21" Club, fell into cooking naturally. "My grandmother who came from Russia went to White Lake and opened the White Lake Maples," said Ms. Rosenzweig. "While she cooked and cleaned, my grandfather went to schul all day. I grew up hearing all these stories about my grandmother's life. As a kid I tasted the food."
Ms. Rosenzweig's dishes often have a Jewish feeling to them. "I am always tasting dishes in my head before I try them," she said. Some of them remind her of her grandmother.
