For more than 20 years, Wolfgang Puck has been chef to
the stars at Spago, his legendary restaurant in Beverly Hills. With
designer Barbara Lazeroff, his wife and business partner, Puck has
built what Fortune magazine calls "the world's most successful"
restaurant empire. The Austrian-born Puck is credited with reviving
California's culinary heritage, incorporating fresh California ingredients
into his classical French training. He is the author of four cookbooks,
the most recent being Pizza, Pasta and More! (Random House,
2000). Wolfgang and Barbara were the recipients of the James Beard
Foundation's Humanitarian of the Year Award (1994), while Wolfgang
has been honored by the foundation as Outstanding Chef (1998). The
couple holds an annual Passover seder in their restaurant with proceeds
going to MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. They reside in Los
Angeles with their two children.
