Born in 1932 in the Alsace region of France, André Soltner defined elegant cooking for more than 30 years at his Lutèce restaurant in New York. Soltner genuinely loved his work and providing his customers with an unparalleled dining experience; characteristics he credits with his long success. Joan met André many years ago at his restaurant and has been discussing Alsatian and Jewish cooking with him ever since.
