Conversation: Poet Gerald Stern
At 87, Gerald Stern has been writing poetry for a long time and is one of the nation’s most honored poets. He recently received a new honor for a collection called “Early Collected Poems: 1965-1992”: the prestigious Bobbitt National Prize for Poetry from the Library of Congress, given to the most distinguished book of verse published in the last two years.
