Village of Ligeidiba
This image shows the village of Ligeidiba in April 2006, shortly before it was attacked by militias, known as the Janjaweed, and Sudanese government troops. The challenge for AAAS geographers is to find the exact coordinates of small villages like this one, which had 698 structures before the attack.
